Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how SUNNYISH LLC, a United States company ("we", "us"), handles information when you use The Humanizer at thehumanizer.app (the "Service"). The short version: we collect as little as we can, we do not keep the text you paste in, and we never sell your data. Questions can be sent to support@thehumanizer.app.
Information we collect
- Account details. If you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in readable form.
- Usage counts. We record how many words, runs and checks you have used, with timestamps, so we can apply plan quotas and daily limits.
- Payment information. Payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly; we receive only limited information such as your plan, payment status, billing country and the last four digits of your card.
- Free-tier limits. For visitors without an account, we use your IP address in hashed form to apply free daily limits. We do not store the raw IP address for this purpose.
- Basic analytics. We collect aggregate information such as pages visited, referring site, browser type and country, to understand how the Service is used.
- Messages to support. If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you.
The text you submit
Text you paste into the humanizer or the AI detector is processed only to provide the result you asked for. It is not stored after processing, it is not used to train any AI system, and it is never sold or shared for marketing. The AI text cleaner runs entirely in your browser, so text you clean is not sent to us at all.
Please avoid submitting sensitive personal information, such as health or financial details, that you do not need to process.
How we use information
We use the information above to provide and secure the Service, manage your account and subscription, apply usage limits, respond to support requests, send essential service emails (such as receipts and password resets), prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the Service. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, such as our payment processor (Stripe), hosting and email delivery providers, under agreements that limit their use of it to providing services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies:
- Session cookie. Keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for accounts to work.
- Analytics. We use privacy-friendly analytics that do not track you across other sites and are not used for advertising.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but you will not be able to stay signed in.
Retention
Submitted text is not retained after processing. Account details and usage records are kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days after you close it. Payment and transaction records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Hashed IP records used for free-tier limits are kept only for a short period needed to enforce daily limits. Analytics data is kept in aggregate form.
Your rights and deletion requests
You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information by emailing support@thehumanizer.app from the email address on your account. We will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to object to processing and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords and restricted access to our systems. No service can be completely secure, but we work to keep the data we hold to a minimum and to protect it.
Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
We are based in the United States, and information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to these countries.
Changes and contact
